CITY LIMITS is my electronic music project, bringing together my love of DJing, live trumpet and my own original music.

My sound is rooted in Liquid Drum & Bass, but I don't believe a great DJ set has to stay inside one box. Depending on your event, I can branch into Deep House, UK Garage, House, melodic electronic music and Techno, building a set around the atmosphere you want to create.

I've been performing professionally for over 10 years, with credits including Glastonbury Festival, Secret Garden Party and TEDx - so I'm equally comfortable creating the soundtrack to a relaxed afternoon or sunset event as I am taking things into a much bigger late-night dancefloor set.

2026 has truly been a breakthrough year with CITY LIMITS gaining a huge online following (50,000 followers across platforms) due to the success of Hanging By A Thread winning a top spot on Tom Robinson’s; Fresh Faves and garnering over 35,000 streams in little over three months.

What I Do

The thing that makes a CITY LIMITS set different is that I'm not just behind the decks.

I'm a trumpet player, producer and live musician, and I bring that into my DJ sets – playing live trumpet over selected tracks, improvising with the music and incorporating my own CITY LIMITS material along the way.

It means you get the energy and flexibility of a DJ set, but with the personality and spontaneity of a live performance.

The Music

My specialist area is Liquid Drum & Bass and melodic electronic music, and that's where CITY LIMITS really has its own identity.

But every event is different.

Depending on what you're looking for, I can build a set incorporating:

Liquid DnB • Deep House • UK Garage • House • Melodic House • Techno • Electronic

So if you love the CITY LIMITS sound but need the music to move through different styles as the night develops, that's absolutely something I can do.

Your Event

I've spent more than a decade performing at private events, parties, weddings, venues and festivals in the UK and internationally, and one of the biggest things I've learnt is how important it is to understand the room.

I'm not interested in turning up with exactly the same playlist for every booking.

*Hire Requirements

For the full CITY LIMITS DJ + live trumpet show, I require a professional DJ and PA setup at the venue:

  • 2 × Pioneer CDJ-3000s

  • Pioneer DJ mixer

  • Professional PA system with sub

  • Shure SM57 (or equivalent) microphone for trumpet

  • Appropriate monitoring, cabling and power

    Need me to bring the setup?
    For an additional fee, I can provide my own compact professional system, including     Rekordbox + Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 controller, 2 × RCF ART 708-A speakers and Yamaha MG10 mixer. This setup is generally suitable for venues of up to approximately 300 capacity, depending on the room, layout and required volume.
